Applications invited for Fellowship Programme

ManamaThe Office of the First Deputy Prime Minister (OFDPM) announced the opening of the application process for the year-long FDPM Fellowship Programme yesterday. 

The third year of the prestigious programme aims to provide an opportunity for newly-selected public sector applicants to benefit from a wide range of development and training activities.

The application process for the FDPM Fellowship is open to all government employees below managerial level and can be accessed through the FDPM website. All applications are to be submitted before March 19.

“The FDPM Fellowship provides a vital platform that supports and delivers the vision of  Crown Prince, Deputy Supreme Commander and First Deputy Prime Minister HRH Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa to improve workforce performance and invest in young talented leaders who can contribute to building a bright future for the Kingdom,” the Office of the FDPM Director General, Shaikh Salman bin Khalifa Al Khalifa stated.

Speaking about the success of the programme, he noted that the number of applicants to the programme had increased from 600 to 700 in the first two years, and that those applying were highly-competent employees from  the government departments. The Director General also commented that the FDPM Fellowship entails a rigorous selection process based on equal opportunity.

“The OFDPM is committed to providing a dynamic environment that helps to develop analytical and leadership skills, and innovation that can be used upon their return to government departments” he said.
