Gang of car thieves arrested
Manama : A gang of thieves accused of selling stolen vehicles in the Kingdom and in the neighbouring countries after counterfeiting registration documents has been arrested, announced Anti-corruption and Economic and Electronic Security Directorate.
The suspects were nabbed after the Directorate was notified by the Interpol and asked to investigate about a vehicle stolen abroad.
“The vehicle was detected and it was revealed that the individuals faked its documents and ownership before selling it”, the statement added.
Legal procedures have been taken to refer the case to the public prosecution, said a source in Directorate.
