Saudi key to GCC development : Prince Salman

ManamaSaudi Arabia plays a pivotal role in driving strategic development initiatives across the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC), which has been crucial in meeting the shared goals of GCC states, affirmed Crown Prince, Deputy Supreme Commander and First Deputy Prime Minister HRH Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa.

Prince Salman made the statements as he met The Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud yesterday at Al Auja Palace in the Diriyah area in Riyadh. 

The meeting was attended by Prince Muhammad bin Naif bin Abdul-Aziz Al-Saud, Crown Prince, First Deputy Prime Minister, Minister of Interior of Saudi Arabia, Prince Muhammad bin Salman bin Abdul-Aziz Al-Saud, Deputy Crown Prince of Saudi Arabia, Chief of the Royal Court, Second Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Defence, Supreme Council for Youth & Sport Chairman, Bahrain Olympic Committee President & Royal Charity Organisation (RCO) Chairman HH Shaikh Nasser bin Hamad Al Khalifa, Deputy Prime Minister Shaikh Mohammed bin Mubarak Al Khalifa, Minister of Foreign Affairs Shaikh Khalid bin Ahmed Al Khalifa and a number of senior Bahraini ministers and officials.

The Bahraini leaders emphasized on advancing Saudi-Bahraini ties and achieving greater levels of collaboration across a wide range of strategic areas that benefit both economies. 

Following the meeting, King Salman hosted a lunch banquet for the Bahraini delegation.
