CFA Society Bahrain launches graduate training program

ManamaCFA Society Bahrain, the Kingdom’s pre-eminent association for local investment professionals, hosted the kick off session of its 2017 round for Mutamahin, one of the top fresh graduate development programmes in the Kingdom. The programme will provide training to over 70 final year university students and fresh graduates, with the top 15 to be awarded internships at some of the most prestigious employers in Bahrain.

The programme was initiated to develop and nurture university graduates, with the long-term vision of contributing to a new generation of ethical, dedicated, and seasoned investment professionals. This year, CFA Society Bahrain is tying up with some of the top employers in Bahrain, including Ahli United Bank, Bahrain Bourse, Bahrain Islamic Bank, Bahrain National Holding, Bahrain Credit, BBK, Kuwait Finance House, Mumtalakat and Zain to provide internships for the best performing participants. Tamkeen is also a Strategic Partner of the program.

The programme has now benefited over 150 students since it was launched in 2014, securing over 35 internship positions for Bahraini graduates, many of which have led to full-time careers in the field.

Mutamahin enables our best and brightest to really pursue their dreams.”

Mutamahin will hold its training sessions from February to April 2017 and will provide candidates with a variety of training sessions on Ethics at Work, Project Management and Technical Skills, as well as general career skills such as Team Work, Personal Branding, Presentation and Interview Skills. The majority of the training sessions will be led by experts in the region who are committed to the professional development of young Arab talent. These include Lead, Chapel House and CFA Institute.
