CHINESE NEW YEAR CELEBRATIONS

Gansu Province Art Troupe, which will visit Bahrain to celebrate the Chinese Lunar New Year with local Chinese communities and the Bahraini people, will give an outstanding performance featuring Chinese songs, dances, and acrobatics in the Culture Hall at 7pm Saturday, 21 January , 2017. The performance is open to the public and free of charge.
The programme is hosted by the Embassy of the People’s Republic of China in collaboration with the Bahrain Authority for Culture and Antiquities (BACA).
DALIDA WORLD PREMIERE

As part of the So French week programme, the world premiere of Dalida will be shown in Bahrain. Taking place on the 21st January, the movie retraces the life of singer and actress Dalida. The movie is written, directed and co-produced by Lisa Azuelos and stars Sveva Alviti as Dalida. It looks at the life of Dalida, a 1960s Italian actress born and raised in Cairo. Dalida became a star of Egypt’s cinema and later turned her hand to singing which brought her worldwide acclaim.
