KHCB launches ‘Al Waffer’ 8th edition

Manama : Khaleeji Commercial Bank (KHCB) yesterday launched the eighth edition of its ‘Al Waffer’ Account, featuring six grand prizes. 

The eighth edition, according to KHCB, will realise the dream of one lucky customer of becoming a millionaire. The value of the sixth grand prize to be drawn at the end of December 2017 will be US$1,000,000. The draws on the six grand prizes will be launched in February 2017, presenting the amount of US$200,000 to a lucky winner.

 In April 2017, one of the ‘Al Waffer’ account holders will win a furnished two-bedroom apartment in the Amwaj Islands. The winner of the third grand prize in June 2017 will receive a monthly salary of BD500 for ten years. In August 2017, the fourth Grand Prize winner will receive a luxury Porsche Macan, after which the fifth Grand Prize winner will pocket an amount of US$200,000 in the month of October.  In addition, there will be monthly cash prizes. 

Bahrain-based KHCB also announced during a press conference that it has reduced the minimum amount required to open an ‘Al Waffer’ account from BD50 to BD25. 

Khalil Ismail Al Meer, Chief Executive Officer of KHCB, said, “’Al Waffer’ provides a unique investment opportunity, as clients are given the chance to not only reap profits of their money deposited in the account, but also the possibility of being one of the lucky grand prize winners.”

In its seventh edition, the ‘Al Waffer’ Account presented six Porsche Cayenne cars in addition to five cash prizes worth US$100,000 each. Draws in the last month of the seventh edition of the Lifetime Dream Prize awarded the lucky winner a luxury villa, in addition to a Porsche Cayenne and a cash prize of US$25,000. In addition to this, 468 individuals won monthly cash prizes.
