Indian School Bahrain celebrates National Day

Manama : The National Day celebrations at the Indian School Bahrain, Riffa Campus saw a spectacular event where over 4000 students in the age group of 4 to 9 years of the school joined together to form a Human Flag of Bahrain ( 150ft X 90 ft ) and the lettering “ ISB- RIFFA 2016”.

This historic formation unfolded in the presence of parents and teachers. ISB Secretary  Dr. Shemily P John,  Vice- Chairman Mohd Iqbal, Member Academics Kursheed Alam and  Member IT   Saji Antony joined ISB  Chairman   Prince S. Natarajan in hoisting the Bahrain national flag.

The chanting of “WE LOVE BAHRAIN” by the entire School reverberated in the campus. The traditional Bahraini dances that followed the formation were taken up by the entire crowd much to the delight of the teachers and parents. Each classroom depicted highlights of Bahrain National day.

The tent inside the main lobby and the henna designing in the auditorium were a visual treat of Bahraini culture.

ISB Isa Town witnessed splash of red and white everywhere in the campus during the celebration of the National Day.  The campus was decorated with Bahrain flags and the spirit prevailing in the campus was high. The Department of Arabic arranged special programmes to mark the National Day.

The National flag of Bahrain was unfurled by School Chairman   Prince S Natarajan in the presence of the Principal  V R Palaniswamy, the Vice-Principals, Head teachers and the students.

The Principal  V R Palaniswamy welcomed the gathering and wished everyone and the people of Bahrain a Happy National Day.

ISB  Chairman   Prince S Natarajan expressed happiness in the way how Bahrain has been a home away from home for many. He expressed gratitude to the rulers of the Kingdom of Bahrain.

A feast of colourful programmes followed the official function. The Head of Department of Arabic   Rukaiya proposed the vote of thanks. Both the Isa Town and Riffa campus were abuzz with activities.
