Bahrain, Thailand ties hailed

ManamaThe growing bilateral ties between Bahrain and Thailand were hailed by Crown Prince, Deputy Supreme Commander and First Deputy Prime Minister HRH Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa.

This came as the Crown Prince received the newly appointed Thai Ambassador Chayapan Bamrungphong yesterday at Riffa Palace.

HRH Prince Salman emphasised the efforts of Thailand in promoting further cooperation amongst Asian countries and reinforcing their role in the global economy.

The Crown Prince lauded the success of the recent Second Asian Cooperation Dialogue (ACD) in Thailand, which was attended by Prime Minister HRH Prince Khalifa bin Salman Al Khalifa, on behalf of His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa.

HRH Prince Salman stressed the importance of such summits and their role in expanding opportunities for cooperation, commenting that Bahrain is committed to further developing relations, particularly in economic and commercial sectors.

During the meeting, the Crown Prince expressed his sincerest condolences on the passing of the late King Bhumibol Adulyadej of Thailand.

The Crown Prince then welcomed the newly appointed Ambassador and wished him every success, adding that the Kingdom was committed to supporting the envoy in the performance of his diplomatic duties.

For his part, the ambassador expressed his gratitude for the opportunity to meet with HRH Prince Salman and for his continued support to Bahraini-Thai relations.
