Jordan's Al Selwady wins

Manama : Jordanian fighter, Abdulkareem Al Selwady defeated Iraq’s Rami Aziz after four minutes and 30 seconds of the first round with a chokehold of the lightweight division to win the main event of the first-ever BRAVE Combat Federation “The Beginning’ which concluded on Friday at Khalifa Sports City Hall in Isa Town.

Al Selwady looked prepared and set the pace right from the start and did not give his opponent a chance to fight back. 

Four other bouts took place on the main card with the co-main event winner being KHK MMA Russian fighter Gadzhimusa Gaziev in the first round of the welterweight division against Brazilian Thiago Vierra in just two minutes and 30 seconds.

Another KHK MMA Russian fighter Eldar Eldarov won by a unanimous decision against Argentina’s Kevin Koldobsky in the welterweight division in the third round, while Egyptian Ahmed Amir was a surprise winner over American Richie Martinez in the first round. Abdul Muneer from India won by a technical knockout of the first round in four minutes 57 seconds against Mexico’s Masio Fullen in a featherweight bout.

The event was organised by the Khalid Hamad Khalifa Mixed Martial Arts (KHK MMA) with the Bahrain Mixed Martial Arts Association, in the presence of of Supreme Council for Youth & Sport  First Vice Chairman and Bahrain Royal  Equestrian & Endurance   Federation President HH  Shaikh  Khalid bin Hamad Al  Khalifa , founder of Khalid bin Hamad Al Khalifa Mixed Martial Arts Organisation and Supreme  Council for Youth & Sport Chairman, Bahrain Olympic  Committee President & Royal Charity  Organisation Chairman HH Shaikh  Nasser bin  Hamad  Al  Khalifa.
