Hajj season declared epidemic-free
Manama : This year’s Hajj season has been declared epidemic-free, revealed Saudi Minister of Health Dr. Tawfiq Al Rabiah, adding that all pilgrims were completely healthy.
The ministry has equipped 25 hospitals and 158 health centres and recruited as many as 26,000 health personnel, said Dr. Al Rabiah.
The minister added that a new 20-bed hospital in the vicinity of the Grand Mosque was opened, besides developing 10 health centres in Arafat and expanding anti sun-stroke rooms in six hospitals.
An evacuation area was created in the Jamarat station for walking teams and early preventive control works were intensified at 15 remote city border centres for health control.
