2 hurt in illegal car stunt
Manama : Two Bahrainis suffered grievous injuries in an accident caused by an illegal car stunt show in Abu Quwa village in the Northern Governorate yesterday.
This is the second such accident reported within one month in Bahrain.
According to witnesses, the car crashed into a lamppost after the driver lost control of the vehicle before it turned turtle. They revealed that as soon as the accident occurred, the locals rushed to the spot and extricated the wounded men from the car. They were rushed to
hospital.
Meanwhile, authorities have ordered an investigation into the incident. As reported last month, a horrific accident took place during an illegal car racing show on Bahrain Bay Highway near Al Areen area. A Bahraini was killed in the accident and eight others sustained severe injuries.
The accident shook the society and prompted the authorities to pull the plug on such activities, resulting in multiple arrests.
