Excitement galore in Futsal League

Manama : The teams of Al Shakhoora, Karranah, Central and Abu Saiba Youth Centre won their Round of 16 matches to advance to the quarter-finals of the Khalid bin Hamad Youth Centers Futsal League, at the Bahrain Disabled Sports Federation’s (BDSF) hall in Isa Sports City, near the National Stadium.

Al Shakhoora and Dumistan played out a 3-3 which was won by the former following a penalty shootout. Al Shakhoora goals were scored by Hussain Sabt, Mohammed Salman and Ahmed Mohamed Salman and for Dumistan by Jaffar Ali, Hani Ali and Watah Ahmed, player of the match award went to Ahmed Mohammed Salman of Al Shakhoora.

In the second match, Karranah advanced thanks to a 5-0 defeat of Bu Quwah with the goals scored by Sayed Mustafa Hilal (2), Sayed Sharaf Faisal, Jassim Ahmed and Ebrahim Khalil and player of the match award going to Saleh Mahdi from the winning team.

Central were 4-2 winners over Karbabad courtesy of goals from player of the match, Ali Abdulrasool (2) and a goal apiece from Ahmed Abdulrasool and Abdullah Abdulwahed and for Central by Mahmoud Radhi and Sayed Mahmoud Khalil.

In the last match, Abu Saiba were 4-1 winners over Sanabis with goals from player of the match Sayed Hassan Maki (2), Jaffar Al Bana and Hameed Jassim Al Khabaz and the lone goal for Sanabis by Abdullah Ali. Following these matches, Al Shakhoora face Karranah and Central take on Abu Saiba team in the quarter-finals.
