Distribution of housing units based on fairness and priority : PM

Manama : The distribution of housing units must be fair and on priority basis especially in villages and the Capital Governorate, said Prime Minister HRH Prince Khalifa bin Salman Al Khalifa. 

“It should also take into account the need to preserve the existing social fabric in villages and towns, in line with the policies adopted by the government,” Prince Khalifa stressed while chairing the weekly Cabinet session at Gudaibiya Palace yesterday.

The Premier also directed to expedite the implementation of his directives in this regard.  

Meanwhile, HRH Premier directed to meet the needs of the Shakhoora village regarding municipal services and infrastructure. He told the Ministry of Works, Municipalities Affairs and Urban Planning to send officials to collect first-hand information on the requirements. 

HRH the Prime Minister also directed to implement the projects in Shakhoora on a war-footing. 

Commenting on personal loans, HRH Premier instructed the Central Bank of Bahrain (CBB) to tighten control on the procedures adopted by financial institutions, which grant personal loans. 

He stressed the need to safeguard the interests of the people against any violations by financial firms.

The Cabinet endorsed the signing of two memoranda of understanding (MoU) with Russia to enhance cooperation in the field of liquefied gas and partnership in the field of geophysical survey for exploration and production of oil and gas and other services.
