Indian boy dies of pneumonia in Bahrain

Manama : A three-year-old boy died of complications from pneumonia yesterday at Salmaniya Medical Complex hospital.

Medical report says pulmonary haemorrhage as the cause of death, an acute bleeding from the lungs. 

Dylan Blesson Mathew, son of Indian expat Blesson Mathew, developed fever and throat infection four days back. However, he was hospitalised after the illness deteriorated
last night. 

The boy’s father Blesson is currently in India with his elder son due to visa related problems, according to relatives in Bahrain. He has been leading an expat life in the Kingdom for the past 10 years. 

His wife Anitha Blesson  had come to Bahrain a week ago with their second child on a family visa. 

Blesson, an employee in Khalid Transport Company, was planning to come back to Bahrain tomorrow with elder son Dion when the tragic news reached him in India.

St Mary’s Orthodox Church Secretary Ranji Mathew said they are in the process of repatriating his body to his hometown in Kannur with the assistance of the Indian Embassy. 

Social worker K.T Salim, who visited the hospital last night, facilitated the paperworks for repatriation of the body.
