HM the King congratulates Hillary Clinton
His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa congratulated Hillary
Clinton on accepting the nomination of the US Democratic Party.
HM the King praised her for becoming the first woman in the US history to run for the presidential elections.
His Majesty also lauded Clinton’s political experience, which enabled her to reach this stage of the US presidential race. On the occasion, King Hamad stressed Kingdom’s progress with regard to Bahraini women’s rights and achievements.
HM the King affirmed that Bahraini women enjoy advanced political rights as a result of the national legislation that consolidates women’s rights.
This, His Majesty affirmed, has broadened the scope of engaging women actively in political life in
Bahrain.
