Missing divers rescued from sea after two days
Manama : Two divers, who went missing two days ago in the sea, were rescued yesterday from around 20km off the north of the island. “They are in good health,” informed the authorities without revealing their identity.
According to the Interior Ministry, the Coast Guard Command was informed about the missing case of two people in the sea two days ago. “They were among divers, who were diving north east of Fasht Al Jarim.”
An intense search was initiated with the assistance of the Police Air Force Command, some seafarers and maritime clubs.
“Coast Guard Commander has urged seafarers to follow safety norms and take the necessary precaution measures,” a ministry statement said.
This is the second missing incident that involved divers in Bahrain. DT News reported last week that a Bahraini diver’s body was found near the shores of Sitra Industrial Area two days after he went missing.
