Coastguards seize 3,337 kgs of shrimps
Manama : The coastguards confiscated a total of 3,337 kilogrammes of shrimps during the annual four-month ban from March 15 until July 15. The lawbreakers who violated the ban were referred, along with the confiscated shrimps, to the Public Prosecution to face legal action.
The Coastguard Directorate enforced the annual ban on shrimping in cooperation with various departments affiliated with the Interior Ministry. Coast Guard Commander, Brigadier Alaa Siyadhi said that the inspections covered boats, markets and public places.
