Now you can buy loaded Pokémon Go accounts!

ManamaOnline advertisements have started popping up in Bahrain offering Pokémon Go accounts in exchange for money, following trends in Europe and US.

Pokémon Go players who had reached advanced level are behind the move.

They are placing their game accounts for sale ignoring the fact that their email addresses are also tied in with the account. This simply means that the seller is required to disclose his personal email address and password to the buyer who wants to continue playing the game.

According to an earlier report, it was found that Pokémon Go app gets access to a user’s entire Google account, when it is used to sign in. The security flaw was first pointed out by security researcher Adam Reeve, who is also the Principal Architect at Red Owl Analytics.

According to Reeve, the app gets “Full account access” privilege, which includes the ability to “read all your email, send email as you, access all your Google drive documents (including deleting them), look at your search history and your Maps navigation history and Access any private photos you may store in Google Photos.”

Based on a few enquiries made, DT News found that the accounts are now being sold here with its associated email addresses and passwords.

Some of the advertisements posted on popular social media platforms ask for a price in the range of BD20 to BD40.  However, according to gamers, this is way too low and accounts are worth BD60 or more. They say accounts are priced based on level at which it is being played and would go up with the level.

When contacted by DT News, a seller revealed that he is selling his private email address along with the game account.

“I have a level 21 account, which means it is very advanced, I have caught most of the Pokémon and have a lot of rare Pokémon. I have been playing this game every day since it came out. I have put in numerous hours every day so it is time and effort spent on it.”

“I have more than 10 Pokémon that have a combat power of over 1000. So I will not sell it for a cheap price.

“I am waiting for the right offer. The only problem is that its attached to my email account, so I have to sell my email address account along with it, but it is okay with me,” he said.

Pokémon accounts are being sold for thousand of dollars around the world. A gamer in the UK sold his account for £7000 (BD3472.45). However, selling Pokémon Go accounts are against the rules set by the game developers, the sold accounts could be permanently banned.
