PM urges to improve Arab ties

Manama : Improve Arab cooperation amid attempts to spread chaos across the region, urged Prime Minister HRH Prince Khalifa bin Salman Al Khalifa.

Prince Khalifa stressed the need to unify Arab stances to confront challenges that pose a serious threat to the security, stability and sovereignty of countries in the region.

The Arab League is a symbol of regional unity that can help achieve welfare and prosperity for the Arab people, the PM pointed out.

The Premier made the statements while receiving  Egyptian Ambassador, Suha Mohammed Rifa’a Al-Far, at the Gudaibiya Palace yesterday. She handed over to him an official invitation from his Egyptian counterpart, Sherif Ismail, to visit the country.

HRH Premier requested the Ambassador to convey his greetings and thanked her for the invitation.

Prince Khalifa affirmed the depth of the Bahraini-Egyptian bilateral relations, which, he said, have always been based on mutual understanding, as well as joint coordination on various issues.

“Egypt enjoys a distinguished position in the heart of every Bahraini citizen. The strength and security of Bahrain and Egypt are integral. We pray to Allah Almighty to bless the country with lasting security and stability,” he said.

Prince Khalifa lauded the efforts exerted by Egypt to achieve Arab solidarity and complementarity, given its historical weight and role in supporting Arab issues.

The Premier also appreciated the role of the Egyptian community in Bahrain, and their contributions to the development and progress of the Kingdom.

Meanwhile, the Egyptian envoy thanked the Prime Minister for his constant support in improving the bilateral ties.

She lauded Prince Khalifa’s sound and far-sighted visions towards various Arab and international issues, which, she said, reflects keenness to make sure that the Arab world is strong and capable of facing all challenges.

She added that Bahrain is loved by the Egyptian people in recognition of its supportive stances towards their country under all circumstances.
