Prevent medical errors: PM

Manama : Authorities concerned to step up efforts to prevent the occurrence of medical errors directed by Prime Minister HRH Prince Khalifa bin Salman Al Khalifa.

The Premier also ordered to hold people responsible, whenever such incidents happen, as per regulations in force.

The decision came as Prince Khalifa was chairing the regular weekly Cabinet session at the Gudaibiya Palace yesterday. The session also expressed satisfaction in the progress achieved in the implementation of the 365 projects included in the 2015-2018 government’s action plan (GAP).

The action plan was outlined in a memorandum presented by the Cabinet Affairs Minister. It showed that 135 national projects had been completed while 217 are in various stages of implementation.

The plan also indicated that the project achievement rate is high and the implementation process is going ahead as planned. The memorandum was then referred to the Ministerial Committee for Urbanisation and Infrastructure to follow up. The session also deplored the terrorist attack that targeted a shopping centre in the German city of Munich and left several people dead and wounded.
