Bahrain to participate in Rio2016
Manama : Bahrain will participate in the XXX1 Olympiad Rio2016 in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil on August 5-21.
The 40-member Bahraini delegation which will be headed by HH Shaikh Nasser bin Hamad Al Khalifa the representative of HM the King for Charity Works and Youth and Sports Affairs Chairman of the Supreme Council of Youth and Sports (SCYS) and President of Bahrain Olympic Committee (BOC), will be the biggest ever since Bahrain's participation in the London Olympiad2012 when Bahraini sprinter Mariam Jamal won a silver medal in the 1500- metre jogging contest.
The Bahraini sports delegation will participate in athletics, shooting, swimming and wrestling competitions.
