Bahrain police provide fingerprint scanners

Manama : Electronic fingerprint scanners have been provided to Public Security Directorates to ensure a speedy services for every governorate, it was announced.

“With the beginning of the facility, citizens and residents can avoid going to the main headquarters of the Criminal Information Department,” said Criminal Information Department general director Colonel Raed Al Moel.

The main headquarters in Adliya also received fingerprint scanners so that the clearing agents can also solve requests from other directorates. He pointed out that the number of requests in 2015 reached 38,544 certificates of good conduct and 20,683 job applications.

According to Colonel Raed Al Moeli, the Directorate is always seeking to improve the services provided to citizens and residents under the directives of Interior Minister Lieutenant-General Shaikh Rashid bin Abdulla Al Khalifa to provide the best security services through the Directorate’s website, www.cri.gov.bh. 

The website has provided effective services as the number of people, who have visited the site since its launch earlier this year till June, has reached 1,762.
