Asian caught with forged credit cards
Manama : An Asian passenger was arrested at the Bahrain International Airport with many forged credit cards in his possession.
Anti-Corruption and Economic and Electronic Security director general said it had received a notification from the Air Exits Customs Directorate about a passenger possessing electronic equipment and smart phones used in forging credit cards.
The passenger, who had arrived from a GCC country, was thoroughly inspected and many credit cards were found on him which had been used for fraud operations in GCC countries.
Hence it is suspected that he may have now brought the items to Bahrain to use while staying here.
The director general said legal procedures have been initiated and the case was referred to the Public Prosecution.
