Toppers applauded and acknowledged at NIS
The New Indian school organised an Award ceremony in the school auditorium in
order to formally recognise and extol the outstanding performance of the island
topper Munira Taher Saifuddin (Commerce stream), and school toppers of the
AISSE (CBSE Class XII) and AISSCE (CBSE Class X) examinations (Batch-
2014-15). The event was attended by the parents of the awardees. Director and
Principal, Dr. V. Gopalan in his welcome address emphasised on the role of
parents, teachers and the Almighty in achieving greater heights of glory and
success in the life of a pupil. Parents of the awardees took the opportunity to share
their views and thoughts about the role of the teachers and expressed their gratitude
towards the school to guide their wards and facilitate excellent performance.
The school also felicitated and awarded the students (from LKG to class XII) and
teachers who had 100% attendance in the academic year 2014-15. A few cultural
items were put up to enthrall and entertain the audience.
