Bahrain Premier approves educational review reports

Manama : Prime Minister HRH Prince Khalifa bin Salman Al Khalifa yesterday issued Edict 25/2016, approving the review reports, the institutional incorporation and qualification accreditation edicts, as well as the annual report issued by the National Authority for Qualifications and Quality Assurance of Education and Training (QQA).

The edict approved the reports of the 21st batch, including nine review reports of higher education academic programmes, four review reports of vocational training institutions, one vocational training follow-up report, nine public schools’ review reports and two review reports of two private schools. 

It also approved the reports of the 22nd batch, including four review reports of higher education academic programmes, one follow-up report on a higher education institution, ten review reports of vocational training institutions, three vocational training follow-up reports, 15 public schools’ review reports and four review reports of two private schools.

The edict also endorsed the institutional incorporation and qualification accreditation resolutions issued by QQA. These include the incorporation of two higher education institutions and the accreditation of higher education qualifications within the 21st batch. The institutional incorporation of one higher education institution and one vocational training institution were also approved within the 22nd batch.

The edict also approved QQA’s annual report for 2015.The edict shall take effect one day after its publication in the Official Gazette.

Prince Khalifa also issued Edict 26/2016 on the Work System of the Directorate of National Examinations, abrogating the previous system stipulated by Edict 72/2011.
