Warm welcome accorded to Monfaradi

Manama : Bahrain’s Jiu Jitsu champion Seena Monfaradi was given a warm welcome from Abu Dhabi where he recently won a bronze medal at the Abu Dhabi World Professional Jiu-Jitsu Championships held in the UAE.

Monfaradi clinched the bronze medal in the 62 kg category of the male Master Black Belt in this event after a stiff battle with some of the world’s best athletes.

Bahrain Olympic Committee (BOC) general secretary Abdulrahman Askar, Bahrain Self Defence Federation president Ahmed Al Khayyat, vice-president Omar Bukamal and other senior officials congratulated Mondaradi on his result.

The BOC general secretary also commended the performance of Monfaradi during the championship and his fighting spirit, which played a significant part in the achievement.

Al Khayyat extended congratulations to the kingdom’s leadership, as well as to His Majesty the King’s Personal Representative for Charity Work and Youth Affairs, Supreme Council for Youth and Sport Chairman and the Bahrain Olympic Committee President Shaikh Nasser bin Hamad Al Khalifa for his support of Jiu-Jitsu along with First Deputy Chairman of the Supreme Council for Youth and Sport and the founder of KHK MMA Organisation, Shaikh Khalid bin Hamad Al Khalifa.
