Batelco, Awali club conducting Bowling championship
Manama : In coordination with the main sponsor Bahrain Telecommunications Company (Batelco), Awali Bowling Club will be conducting the Batelco Bowling Open Championship at the Bapco Club in Awali starting tomorrow until April 22 with BD2,000 in prize money up for grabs.
The lanes will be opened for the bowlers’ first round from 6pm to midnight and the top 16 qualifiers plus other categories will receive a share of the prize pot. The top 16 from the preliminary round which takes place until April 21 will qualify for final round the next day, where they play nine games at 4pm to determine the final positions without referring to stepladder knockout and a prize presentation will follow around 8pm.
Prizes range from BD600 for the winner, BD300 for the runner-up down to BD25 for 14th to 16th places.
Registration is BD5 and increases to BD10 for late entrants on April 20 and 21.
