An ‘Arrangetram for Mohiniyattam and Kuchipudi’ will be held tomorrow at the Indian School, Jashanmal Auditorium at 7.00pm. The guru is Dr. Nritya Ratna Sreenesh Sreenivasan, disciple of padmabhushan Dr.Vempatti Chinna Satyam. Students for ‘Mohiniyattam’ are Akhila Ttreesa Jose, Riya Mary Richard, Anagha S. Lal, and Arathi Rajesh. Students for ‘Kuchipudy’ are Dhanusha Merln Koshy, Gayathri Rajesh and Hridya Vinod. Chief Guest of the event is Indian School Chairman Abraham John and Guest of Honour is U.K. Menon.

Three budding dancers, Aaarya, Class 5, New Millennium School DPS (D/O Rajkumar and Dr. Chethana); Archisha, Class 6, Asian School (D/O A. Edmond Fernando and Aroma) and Mehera, Class 6, Indian School (D/O P.V. Ramprasad and Anasuya) are performing their Arangetram tomorrow at 7:00pm at Indian Club Auditorium. These dancers have trained under the watchful eyes of their Guru, Hansul Gani, Nritya Kalaratna. Chief Guest for the event is Shaikha Huda Abdulaziz Al Khalifa, who is an admirer of Indian Art Forms. Guest of Honour is Principal of New Millennium School DPS, Arun Kumar Sharma.

One of the greatest rock and roll guitarists of all time, Eric Clapton, will perform live in Bahrain on March 8, at Arad Fort, as part of the ‘Bahrain Spring of Culture Festival.’ This will be Clapton’s last concert of his February/March Tour, which will begin in Tokyo, Japan, on February 18. Details about the tickets for the concert will be announced later.
