Royal Charity to build school in Amman

The Royal Charity Organisation (RCO) has signed a cooperation agreement with the Jordan Hashemite Charity Organisation (JHCO) to build Bahrain school in Jordanian capital Amman.

The school, which will be built on an area of 10 acre allocated by the Jordanian Education, is in line with the directives of His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa to support the Syrian brethren.

Representative of HM the King for Charity Work and Youth Affairs and RCO Board of Trustees Chairman HH Shaikh Nasser bin Hamad Al Khalifa underlined RCO’s keenness to carry out development projects in brotherly and friendly countries.

He said the project is part of Bahrain’s efforts to support the Syrian brethren and back the humanitarian efforts of Jordan to give seats for the Syrian refugees’ children at public schools.

He also lauded the support of the government led by Prime Minister HRH Prince Khalifa bin Salman Al Khalifa as well as the support of Crown Prince, Deputy Supreme Commander and First Deputy Prime Minister HRH Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa. He explained that the project was announced by HRH the Crown Prince at the International Donors Conference, which was hosted by Kuwait under the patronage of Kuwaiti Amir Shaikh Sabah Al Ahmed Al Jaber Al Sabah.

Jordanian Deputy Premier and Minister of Education Dr Mohammed Dhanibet attended the meeting, which was concluded by RCO Secretary General Dr Mustafa Sayed and JHCO Secretary General Ayman Riyadh Al-Meflah.

On his part, the Jordanian Deputy Premier and Minister of Education Dr Mohammed Dhanibet lauded the deep-rooted historic fraternal relations between Bahrain and Jordan, adding that the agreement would help solve the problem of crowded classes at public schools as the project will benefit both the Jordanian and Syrian students.
