Bahrain, Russia explore ties in aluminium sector
The Russian-Bahraini Working Group on cooperation in aluminum sector met yesterday to explore exchange of information in the field of marketing and logistical coordination.
The meeting was held on the sidelines of His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa’s Russia visit as agreed by Minister of Industry and Commerce Zayed bin Rashid Al Zayani and Russian Minister of Industry and Trade Denis Manturov.
They also discussed the prospects of setting up joint ventures in the production of bauxite and alumina and highlighted investment opportunities for private sector of both the countries.
They also agreed to explore mutual cooperation in joint research development of new products and exchange of trainees.
The Bahraini delegation was headed by Undersecretary of Industrial Affairs Osama Alorrayedh while the Russian delegation was headed by Deputy Minister of the Ministry of Industry and Trade of the Russian Federation Mr Sergey Tsyb.
