bnl wins MEIF award for best insurance co.

Bahrain National Life Assurance (bnl) has been selected as the winner of the MEIF 2016 Best Performing Insurance Company – Middle East Life Insurance Award.

This award recognises bnl’s significant growth, innovation, product diversity, technical expertise and their proven track record of success.

Abdul Rahman Mohammed Al Baker, Executive Director of Financial Institutions Supervision at the Central Bank of Bahrain, presented the award to Sahar Al Ajjawi, General Manager of bnl at the award ceremony held on February 2.

“bnl was delighted to have been selected to receive the MEIF 2016 Best Performing Insurance Company – Middle East Life Insurance Award. To receive this award, which is considered as one of the most prestigious awards in the industry, is indeed a great honour,” said Al Ajjawi.

The annual MEIF Institutional Excellence Award, which gathered over 400 insurance professionals from across the world, recognised the best performing Insurance companies within the GCC, Levant and wider Middle East, as well as those in the Life and Non-Life insurance segments. The event was held at a high profile Gala Luncheon in the Gulf Hotel in Bahrain.

Speaking at the Gala Luncheon, Ehsan Abbas, Chairman of Middle East Global Advisors, the conveners or MEIF, highlighted the sheer importance of the awards: “This afternoon’s award winners should be commended on the quality and dedication of the management team to serve the Middle East insurance industry whilst maintaining sound fundamentals.”

Major achievements, innovations and excellence in the regional insurance industry were recognized at the 12th Annual Middle East Insurance Forum (MEIF 2016) award ceremony held under the patronage of the Central Bank of Bahrain and in partnership with the leading insurance companies of the region.

The 13th annual edition of Middle East Insurance Forum will take place in February 2017.
