BisB named 2015’s best

International Finance Magazine, a British publication which specialises in the publication of financial and economic news, articles, and analyses, has announced that Bahrain Islamic Bank (BisB) won the Best Islamic Retail Bank Prize in Bahrain for the year 2015.

BisB’s winning of the prize was announced following the judgment by the prize jury consisting of a group of editors and a number of specialists in Islamic banks and banking. The Bank won this prize as a recognition of the progress of its business and its distinguished position in providing different Islamic banking solutions for individuals and corporates in the area of auto finance, personal finance and real estate and housing finance, in addition to its leading role in providing an array of credit cards, bank cards, savings and current accounts, and e-banking services, in addition to other important criteria.

 On behalf of the Bank, Abdul Rahman Mohammed Turki, General Manager, Retail Banking Services, received the prize plaque from Thomas Mbon, Head of Treasury and Finance of the High Commission of the Republic of Ghana, during the honouring ceremonies held in the British capital, London, in November 2015.

Commenting on this occasion, Hassan Amin Jarrar, BisB Chief Executive Officer, said: “We are greatly pleased for winning this prize for the 2nd time in a row, which is offered by International Finance. This international prize is considered one of the most significant achievements made by the bank by the end of the year 2015, and it confirms the Bank’s leading position in the Islamic banking sector, and its remarkable contribution to the growth of Islamic finance in Bahrain, as well as its unique products and offerings in terms of innovation and development.”
