Umm Al Hassam project delivery by mid-February

Undersecretary at the Ministry of Housing Shaikh Abdullah bin Ahmed Al Khalifa has announced that the delivery of project Umm Al Hassam Apartments to its beneficiaries is scheduled for the coming mid-February, after the completion of the printing of the project contract procedures, stating that the project is at 100 per cent completion in both construction work and infrastructure

The housing agent pointed out that the reason leading to the delay in the delivery of the project to the beneficiaries centred in the completion of the rest of the final procedures for construction permits and coordination with the competent authorities for the provision of public services for the project such as electricity, water and sewerage network and other services.

He explained that the Ministry is currently working on issuing files of the beneficiaries in order to take the necessary actions from the signing and printing of contracts, to transferring all documents and papers to the Department of Legal Affairs to ensure the validity of the information contained therein until the Chairman of the Department of Legal Affairs signs and transfers them to the Director of Administration for his signature as well.

Shaikh Abdullah bin Ahmed Al Khalifa continued that after the retrieval of contracts and documents beneficiaries will be contacted to attend and sign the contracts which will be sent to the concerned authorities to take the necessary steps for them to receive the keys to their apartment housing.

The Umm Al Hassam project is part of a project that the Ministry is currently implementing, providing 128 apartments in four residential buildings that were allocated earlier for beneficiaries with housing applications listed on waiting list. This project is an extension of residential condominium located in the surrounding area.

And on the latest developments on housing projects, Shaikh Abdullah bin Ahmed Al Khalifa said: “There is a package of housing projects in progress in various governorates of the Kingdom, such as the projects in Tubli and Sanad and Nabih Saleh, in addition to the projects in Hamala and Sitra and Arad and Busaiteen and Hamad Town”

He added that the coming period will witness the distribution of many of the housing projects which will hopefully be completed soon and distributed to all regions of the Kingdom, pointing out that the percentages of completion are advanced, and are due to be distributed in time by the ministry to the beneficiaries with old applications listed on waiting lists.

He also pointed out that the Ministry is keen on follow up on all the projects that are being implemented to meet the needs of citizens and residents in various regions of the Kingdom and to provide better housing services to them with required speed and quality.
