Bahrain Autumn Fair 2016 opens

Bahrain’s biggest consumer products show, the Autumn Fair 2016, opened today  at the Bahrain International Exhibition and Convention Centre. The  official opening ceremony took  place under the patronage of the Minister of Industry, Commerce and Tourism   Zayed R. Alzayani   attended by invited dignitaries and guests.   Shaikh Khalid bin Hamood Al Khalifa, the Acting Assistant Undersecretary for Tourism, inaugurated the fair. 

The annual event, which runs until 4 February, features over 750 exhibitors from 21 countries and spans 15,400 square metres of space. A huge variety of goods from across the globe are set to go on sale at this retail extravaganza. Due to popular demand, the show’s duration has also increased from 9 to 10 days, giving visitors an extra day of shopping fun.   

“From specialty food, fashion and furniture, to technology, toys and textiles - the Autumn Fair truly has something for everyone. Visitors can look forward to discovering unique products and thousands of potential bargains whilst enjoying the festive atmosphere,” said Arabian Exhibition Management’s project manager Yaqoob Ali.

Now in its 27th year, the Autumn Fair is the most widely attended exhibition in Bahrain. Over 200,000 visitors from Bahrain, Saudi Arabia and neighbouring countries are expected to attend.

 

Entry & timings

Entry to the Autumn Fair 2016 is 800 fils. Children under the age of 9 years will be admitted free of charge. The exhibition will open daily to the public from 12 pm – 10 pm on 26 January, 10 am – 2 pm and 4 pm to 10 pm on 27 and 28 January, 12 pm to 10 pm on 29 January, 10 am – 2 pm and 4 pm – 10 pm on 30 and 31 January as well as 1 and 2 February, and 10 am – 10 pm on 3 and 4 February. Ladies only mornings will be held on 31 January and 1 February.
