GPIC sponsors Nasser bin Hamad Scientific Research Award

Gulf Petrochemical Industries Company (GPIC) has announced its sponsorship of this year’s edition of HH Shaikh Nasser bin Hamad Al Khalifa Scientific Research Award in the field of sports. 

The award, in its second edition, aims at promote positive attitudes towards scientific research to create knowledge and contribute to the development of sports movement.
GPIC’s initiative was revealed during the company’s meeting with Bahrain Olympic Committee (BOC)'s secretary-general Abdulrahman Askar and head of marketing committee of the award Seema Al Kharraz.

In his meeting with the award organisers, GPIC president Dr. Abdulrahman Jawahery said he was pleased and proud to establish this partnership with such a pioneer award, which underlines the support of HH Shaikh Nasser bin Hamad Al Khalifa to the scientific field.

Jawahery emphasized his company’s commitment to activate community partnership with various organisations in line with the directives of the Kingdom's leadership, and wished the second edition of the award all success.

On his part, Askar conveyed the greetings of HH Shaikh Nasser bin Hamad and his appreciation to such generous gestures towards sports in Bahrain in general, and to this award, in specific.

He noted that the firm’s support to the award this year reflects its awareness of backing sports movement in general and encouraging scientific research for its positive influence on developing the sports sector in the kingdom.
