BCCI to enhance trade ties with India

Bahrain Chamber of Commerce and Industry (BCCI) has made great strides throughout 2015 to enhance trade and business ties with India, said a top BCCI official. 

Executive Committee Member and head of the Bahraini-Indian Joint Business Council of BCCI, Khalid Al Amin said that the steps taken by BCCI during year 2015 encouraged business owners to establish partnership and exploit lucrative opportunities both in Bahrain and
India. 

Elaborating, Al Amin said, “We visited India twice in 2015, and convened meetings with top officials and key figures from the Confederation of Indian Industry (CII) and the Federation of Indian Chambers of Commerce and Industry (FICCI) wherein we probed areas of cooperation and means of stepping up business relations.”  

“We believe augmenting business activities between Bahrain and India and strengthening business ties will reap very positive results.  Currently, a lot of opportunities await exploitation, and the trade volume between both countries remains below aspirations,” he
added. 

He also affirmed that the council would continue its strides to stimulate business activities between both countries and encourage partnership in going
forward.
