Promoting tourism highlighted
Transportation and Telecommunications Minister Eng. Kamal bin Ahmed Mohammed, in a statement to Bahrain News Agency, pointed out the leadership's interest in supporting tourism sector is embodied by the patronage and attendance of HRH Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, Crown Prince, Deputy Supreme Commander and First Deputy Prime Minister, at the inauguration ceremony of Manama, the Capital of Gulf Tourism 2016.
He said that tourism is an important source of income and pillar of support necessary for economic growth. He noted its contribution to finding solutions to many issues, including unemployment.
He underlined the efforts of Industry, Commerce and Tourism Ministry, in cooperation with other ministries, in developing new plans and strategies for the development of tourism sector.
