Foreign Minister, US State Secretary discuss regional developments

Foreign Minister Shaikh Khalid bin Ahmed bin Mohammed Al-Khalifa received a phone call from US Secretary of State John Kerry and discussed latest developments and ways of confronting challenges to achieve regional security and stability.

 The minister stressed the necessity of supporting all efforts to strengthen regional security and stability. He urged all countries to assume their responsibility, commit to non-interference in others' internal affairs and comply with the international covenants, norms and laws.

He stressed the need to overcome the current critical situation in the region and stand to threats and dangers, particularly the scourge of terror, urging radical solutions and lasting settlements to regional problems. On his part, Kerry commended the positive role of Bahrain as well as active contributions in all regional and international efforts to consolidate regional security and peace, wishing the Kingdom further progress and prosperity.
