Commander-in-Chief inspects BDF task force in Saudi Arabia

 Bahrain Defence Force (BDF) Commander-in-Chief Field Marshal Shaikh Khalifa bin Ahmed Al Khalifa today arrived in Saudi Arabia on an inspection visit to the Bahraini forces participating in the Saudi Arabia-led Arab coalition.

BDF Commander-in-Chief was received, upon arrival to the King Abdullah International Airport in Jizan, by Saudi Assistant Defence Minister Abdullah bin Mohammed Ayesh and a number of senior officers. 

He met with the Royal Artillery task force's officers, non-commissioned officers and personnel stationed in Jazan region, and pilot officers of the Royal Bahraini Air Force stationed at the King Fahd Air Base in Taif.

He listened to a detailed briefing on the progress of operations, also inspected a number of BDF military vehicles and jet fighters participating in the operations there.

He expressed pride in the Bahraini task force personnel of the Bahraini Royal Guard, Royal Artillery, Royal Bahraini Air Force, Royal Bahraini Navy participating within the Arab coalition operations in implementation of the directives of His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa in conformity with the GCC Common Defence Agreement.

He conveyed greeting of HM King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa, the Supreme Commander; HRH Prime Minister Prince Khalifa bin Salman Al Khalifa and HRH Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, Crown Prince, Deputy Supreme Commander and First Deputy Prime Minister.

He praised the courage and fortitude of BDF soldiers who carry out their national duty of defending Arab national security and maintaining regional security and stability. He prayed to Allah Almighty to grant them victory together with their brethren in arms of the coalition forces.

He remembered the sacrifices of the brave martyrs who given their lives in the line of duty.

He said that Operation Decisive Storm and Operation Restore Hope have affirmed the strength of the GCC joint Arab action and collective efforts aimed at protecting the gains and addressing the challenges in Yemen.

He commended the heroic role played by Kingdom of Saudi Arabia in meeting challenges faced by Arab nation, highlighting the wise leadership of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al-Saud that has been successful in establishing an internationally supported Arab coalition to curb the ambitions of domination and restoring legitimacy in the Republic of Yemen.

BDF Commander-in-Chief was accompanied on his visit by BDF General Command Acting Director Maj-Gen Hassan Mohammed Saad; Royal Bahraini Air Force Commander Air Vice-Marshal Shaikh Hamad bin Abdulla Al Khalifa; Royal Artillery Commander Brig. Shaikh Khalifa bin Hassan Al Khalifa; Royal Special Force Commander Brig. Isa Mohammad Al-Rumaihi and a number of senior BDF officers.
