Bahrain to host MEET ICT conference, BITEX exhibition

The Bahrain Technology Companies Society (BTECH) and "WORKSMART" for Events Management announced that the sixth edition of the "MEET ICT" conference and BITEX exhibition will be launched tomorrow morning under the patronage of the Minister of Transportation and Communications Kamal bin Ahmed Mohammed at the Gulf Exhibition and Conference Centre.

An elite group of local, regional and global speakers will participate in the sessions and workshops of the event to discuss a wide range of current technical topics and the latest data of the sector around the world. In addition, a number of key issues highlighting the importance of the information and communications technology industry will be reviewed.

BTECH revealed that about 500 of the IT experiences and decision maker will attend the opening of this IT event.. The guests will be from government and the private IT sector in Bahrain, Arabian Gulf States, USA, China, Japan, India and more.

"This wide participation in the conference and exhibition comes in line with our desire to invest the most important and distinctive technical event in Bahrain and the region and use it as a platform to expand the company’s business in the Middle East", Said Mr. Ubaydli Ubaydli, chairman of BTECH.

"Exploring the latest developments in the ICT field through interaction with selected experts and speakers at the conference, seizing business opportunities and business transactions provided in the event and meeting first-grade decision makers, managers, executives and leaders of the ICT sector are all aims behind conference and expiation," he added.

Chairman of Work Smart –organizer of conference and expiation- Ahmed Al-Hujairi said that organizers keenness to develop the events every year in order to have a positive impact on the development of the ICT sector in the Kingdom of Bahrain especially since this sector has become the most vital sectors of economy that can be relied on to support the national economy.
