HBL celebrates glorious 50 years in Bahrain

HBL, Pakistan’s largest bank, celebrated completing 50 years in Bahrain, in a special ceremony held at The Ritz Carlton Hotel. The event attended by HBL customers, prominent businessmen and dignitaries were hosted by Muhammad Aurangzeb, President and CEO, HBL, along with the Bank’s senior management. Established in 1941 with over 1,700 branches, 2,000 ATMs, and a customer base exceeding 11 million, it has a presence in over 20 countries.

HBL’s inception has been inextricably linked with the origin of Pakistan and consequently, it has always been an institution that has played a significant role in the nation’s economic progress. With a rich heritage over 75 years, HBL is now looking towards an even brighter future with boundless opportunities.

Speaking at this occasion, Muhammad Aurangzeb, President and CEO, HBL, highlighted the Bank’s ongoing Business Transformation Programme, which includes an enhanced focus on getting the “right business” whilst upholding compliance standards that are in accordance with the international environment.
