Crossdresser jailed for two years

The Lower Criminal Court yesterday sentenced a crossdresser for committing immoral acts, practicing prostitution and misusing social media to promote his sexual services. 

The details of the case showed that a Bahraini man had lodged a complaint against his neighbor, claiming that he sits next to their house every day to attract men of different nationalities to have sexual intercourse with him in return of money. Police investigations proved that the defendant promoted such forbidden practices using an Instagram account, where he apparently posted indecent footage of himself and other pornographic content to lure “customers” of different nationalities.

He was subsequently arrested. In the interrogation, the defendant confessed that he was earlier convicted in a similar immoral case that occurred in 2014 and was sentenced to six months of imprisonment. 

The defendant also told the interrogators that after he was released he decided to undergo several plastic surgeries to enlarge certain parts of his body to “look more like a woman”. The man admitted that he regularly had sexual intercourse with clients for amounts ranging from BD100- BD1,000.
