Two housemaids sentenced for attacking police officers
The High Criminal Court has handed down one year jail to two housemaids convicted of attacking women police officers.
The convicts, an Asian and an Ethiopian, attacked the cops while carrying out a probe into the residence status.
Both were illegally overstaying in the Kingdom and came under the scanner after the police was alerted about their overstay.
“The Ethiopian housemaid bit the hands of one officer, while the Asian housemaid attempted to attack other women officers,” said the Public Prosecution.
The accused also verbally abused their victims, the prosecutors added. Both housemaids will be deported once they complete their jail terms.
