College lab staff steals 13 PCs, printers, gets jail
The First High Criminal Court has sentenced a computer maintenance officer employed at a laboratory at one of the colleges to six months in jail for stealing 13 PCs, printers and laptops worth BD3,600. According to court details, the accused, a 41-year-old Bahraini, was working as a technical officer at the laboratory. “All of a sudden, computers, printers and laptops started vanishing from the lab and when asked, the accused used to say that they were being used by other departments upon request.
