Experts to share views at global social media forum

Under the patronage of Shaikh Hisham bin Abdulrahman Al Khalifa, Governor of the Capital Governorate, the World Social Media Club will organise their sixth Social Media Forum with the strategic partnership of Tamkeen Bahrain; in association with UNDP Bahrain. The forum which will be held on December 8, under the title “Yala Suchal” will see the participation of international experts from Jordan, Lebanon, Saudi Arabia, the US, the UAE, Oman and Bahrain, where they are sharing their social media professional expertise. “The patronage of the forum comes within the framework of keenness to encourage the Bahraini youth to benefit from the great potentials in various fields offered by social media and to promote the development of young Bahrainis by adapting to modern technologies in the information and communications sector,” organisers said.

“The forum comes as an initiative to ensure that Bahrain is placed on the global map of the social media industry. It also aims to provide a platform for individuals and companies to develop and open up of new markets to Bahraini entrepreneurs along with creating new emerging jobs in the field of social media, investing in the Internet age and social networking,” Shaikh Hisham told Tribune.
