New govt sworn in

The new government took the Constitutional oath before His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa at Sakhir Palace yesterday. HM the King yesterday received HRH Prime Minister Prince Khalifa bin Salman Al Khalifa and HRH Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, Crown Prince, Deputy Supreme Commander and First Deputy Prime Minister.

The ceremony began with HRH the Premier presenting members of the new government to HM the King.

HM the King gave a keynote speech, in which he welcomed the new government members and congratulated them on the formation of the new government. He said the new government would assume its responsibilities ahead of the start of the fifth legislative term, during which more achievements are expected to meet the future national goals of Bahrain and the royal ambitions of providing citizens with respectable services and achieving financial balance to promote the national economy.
