Verdict delayed to assign audit expert
The Lower Criminal Court has adjourned the trial of a man accused of embezzling BD30,000 until December 2, 2018, to summon an expert in auditing to review the submitted receipts. The defendant was working as the head of the accounting department in a restaurant management company, but his employers accused him of embezzling the amount.
However, the defendant’s lawyer requested the court to assign an expert in auditing to review the receipts submitted by the plaintiff.
