‘Young diplomats’ debate world issues at Model UN
A delegation of students from across the region came together to discuss world issues at the 14th Bahrain Universities Model United Nations (BUMUN). The event aims to provide students with polished skills in diplomacy, negotiation, critical thinking, public speaking, and many more.
The opening ceremony was held at the Ramee Grand Hotel, in the presence of Minister for Youth and Sports Affairs Hisham Al Jowder, the President of the National Institution for Human Rights Maria Khoury, representatives of the UNDP, ministry officials and the participating students.
The two-day event is being organized this year as part of the activities of the International Youth Festival for the Sustainable Development Goals, SDGs, held for the first time globally under the patronage of His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa.
