‘13,000 Indians invested BD640 million in Bahrain businesses’

The number of Indian investors in the Kingdom has crossed 13,000 and their total investment stand somewhere in the neighborhood of BD640 million, according to statistics revealed by the Ministry of Industry, Commerce and Tourism.

With 13,067 investors, Saudi tops the chart which is followed by India (13,002).

While there are 3,871 investors from Pakistan, Bangladeshi contribution to the Kingdom’s business sector is represented by 2,759 investors.

With 2,445 betting big on the Kingdom’s economy, Egyptians come fifth. They are followed by Kuwait investors (1,905) and Yemeni investors (1,703) respectively.

According to official figures, the volume of foreign investment in the Kingdom is close to BD4 billion and the largest investing country was India.
