Bahraini women won’t bother men anymore for Saudi trips!

Many Bahraini women here are brimmed with enthusiasm as they would be able to cross the King Fahad Causeway, driving their cars for the first time.
Many Bahrainis love shopping in Dammam since goods are comparatively cheap in the neighboring Kingdom.
Saudi Ambassador Abdulla bin Abdulmalik Al Sheikh has said that many women would be able to enter Saudi driving their cars beginning the tenth of Shawwal, on June 24.
Speaking to Tribune, Bahraini Yasmine Ahmed said, “I am thrilled to go to Saudi driving my car. Now we women can go and shop with friends and family members.” “We won’t be bothering men anymore to go to Saudi,” she said. Noura Al Bastaki said driving in Saudi won’t be as easy as driving in the Kingdom. “The streets there are very big and it is easy to get lost. So Bahraini women who plans to drive in Saudi should be very careful.”
Meanwhile, Noura Ali said there are some differences in the traffic laws of Bahrain and Saudi Arabia. “In Bahrain, the red signal won’t allow to go left through a dedicated lane, while in Saudi Arabia the vehicles can go right without waiting for the green signal.” Dr Alwan said it would be better for Bahraini women to travel along with men. “In case the car needs a repair, you will find it difficult to handle the situation without a man.”
